For an early-morning radio host, Ryan Seacrest stayed up pretty darn late last night at Details magazine's Mavericks party.

"I don’t have to do the radio show tomorrow," Seacrest explained at 11:30 p.m. "I’m catching a flight out of town. I’ve got another half hour in me, max."

His "American Idol" costars Randy Jackson and Simon Cowell hung out together all night (safety in numbers?) and hovered close to Ryan.

There was a three-course sit-down dinner for 50 guests — including Kim Kardashian, Kristin Cavallari, Fran Drescher, Reggie Jackson, David Spade, Jamie-Lynn Sigler and her stylist Rachel Zoe. Food was followed by a cocktail party at a Beverly Hills mansion.

A fun food fact: Randy and Simon ate only their dessert. Ryan ate his whole meal.

The Dish Rag got a chance to talk to the Details cover boy about his cover shoot, producing Denise Richards' new reality show, who he's not dating, his past hair errors and his biggest fashion turn-off (it's a shocker)!

DR: Do you like your Details cover?

Ryan: I think it looks like me with more sun than I have. It's good. I’m happy. I am. I’m thrilled. It doesn’t quite look like I do in the mornings! It’s not what I look like when I get up to go to the radio show at 4.30 a.m., I’ll tell you that much. That’s good news.

DR: How does it feel to be a cover boy and a Maverick?

Ryan: Oh it’s great. Actually, it’s a little embarrassing that Simon and Randy are here and not featured in the picture. It’s nice of them to come and show their support.

DR: Have you ever made any grooming errors?

Ryan: Oh yeah. That’s easy. Take a look at the hair in Season One. There are about 32 errors. I think at one point there was way too many chemicals involved. Too much of the paint brush and too many chemicals. Now there’s not.

DR: You're producing Denise Richards’ new reality show. What can you tell us?

Ryan: I was out at the house the other day. They have about 16 animals on this property. Some are dogs, some are cats, lots of pigs. She got a new animal today that will be a part of the household and it’s not a dog and it’s not a cat and its not a gerbil or a goldfish. And she’s on a blind date tonight. She did say to me that she loathes the thought of being out on a blind date, but it was set up by a friend. We’ll see what happens -- that will be part of the episode.

DR: How will you deal with the kid situation?

Ryan: How we are going to deal with it is up to her and Charlie [Sheen]. If she wants them to be a part of it and it's OK, then great. If not, that’s her call. This series is about her life and what she’s doing. She’s an executive producer on the show, so it’s up to her.

DR: Who are you dating? In the magazine you referred to someone you dated recently?

Ryan: Well, I’m on the cover of the magazine and no one came with me. Let's see if I leave with anyone.

DR: Is it true you're dating Holly from the E! Entertainment Television show "Sunset Tan?"

Ryan: Do you really think that I would date someone I work with? I think that's very dangerous.

DR: What's your biggest fashion turn-off?

Ryan: Me, naked! I’m not turned on by it.
